Microbiology Laboratory Technician at AbbVie – Role Overview:
As a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, you will support AbbVie’s operations through microbiological testing and environmental monitoring to ensure product safety and compliance with global regulatory standards.

Perform microbiological testing for product release, stability, raw materials, clinical and development batches.

Execute environmental monitoring (EM) of classified cleanrooms and water sampling for utilities.

Carry out Bioburden, Endotoxin, Growth Promotion, Sterility, Antibiotic Assay, and APET testing.

Participate in trending, investigations, and CAPA implementation for out-of-specification (OOS) or adverse results.

Maintain lab documentation aligned with data integrity and cGMP.

Support validation of microbiological test methods and lab equipment.

Contribute to SOPs, protocols, deviation reports, and training documentation.

Uphold EHS and regulatory compliance standards consistently.
Microbiology Laboratory Technician at AbbVie – Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related life sciences field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment (preferably aseptic processing).

Working knowledge of sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing practices.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (FDA, EU GMP, ICH).

Strong organizational and documentation skills in a GMP setting.
Preferred Attributes:

Previous experience with cleanroom environmental monitoring.

Knowledge of microbial identification techniques and sterility assurance.
