Job Description
Amentum is actively seeking applicants for the Laboratory Scientist/Molecular Biologist position in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology and microbiology techniques to support the identification and characterization of biological threat agents.
Responsibilities:
- Handling, processing, and testing of samples
- Utilizing microbiological and molecular techniques
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and workspaces
- Data entry and analysis
- Compliance with safety and quality control procedures
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, molecular biology, or a related field and at least one year of laboratory bench experience outside academia. Experience with PCR and aseptic techniques is required, and Biological Safety Level-3 experience is desirable.
