Job Description
Fortrea is seeking an Associate Clinical Data Manager to support its Early Phase Trials team. This role is available in a remote or hybrid mode across multiple European locations. You will contribute to data management activities in early-phase clinical studies while working closely with peers, senior leaders, and mentors in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and lead operations teams alongside Senior CDM in project documentation, system setup, and data validation processes.
- Build study milestone timelines with the Senior CDM and ensure on-time deliverables.
- Lead or assist in internal and external data management meetings.
- Proactively manage risks and resolve/escalate issues in clinical data management.
- Apply CDASH, SDTM, or other industry standards to maintain consistency across studies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in therapeutic area-specific data capture and best practices.
- Mentor junior data management colleagues and stakeholders on operational processes.
- Take ownership of project-level activities to support timely study delivery.
Qualifications
- University/college degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field (nursing, medical, or lab technology certification accepted).
- Relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
- Previous experience in clinical data management (Lead DM, Senior CDA, or similar) in early phase trials (Phase IโIIa).
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical trial processes, data management, clinical operations, and biometrics.
- Familiarity with CROโpharma regulatory relationships and obligations.
