About the Role
Unilever is seeking a Microbiologist to join its Preservation 2.0 strategic programme as a Material Discovery Microbiologist. This Microbiologist job involves evaluating and testing novel preservative systems across Personal Care, Beauty & Wellness, and Home Care products. The position is part of Unilever careers and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate new materials into formulations and processing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Work on all related projects for the Preservation 2.0 strategic programme.
- Identify and evaluate novel preservative systems and materials for diverse product formats and formulations.
- Design and execute experimental work to support the discovery and validation of new preservation technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new materials into formulation and processing workflows.
Main Accountabilities
- Perform laboratory testing to evaluate the efficacy of novel preservation materials for PC, B&W, and HC products.
- Develop and apply microbiological methods and digital tools to assess the efficacy of preservatives and chemicals.
- Capture and manage data using digital platforms for traceability and reproducibility across BGs.
