Job Details:

Tyson Foods Inc. is seeking Food Safety & Quality Assurance interns for the summer of 2026. The selected interns will be involved in various projects related to food safety, quality assurance, and innovation. Responsibilities include conducting facility audits, developing training programs, supporting product development, and more.

What You Will Do as an FSQA Intern:

  • Collect and analyze samples at production facilities

  • Support multi-hurdle intervention evaluations in meat & poultry products

  • Assist in troubleshooting food safety and food quality challenges

  • Contribute to process and product development for continuous improvement

  • Summarize and report findings from data/sample collection

  • Support quality system and food safety audits

  • Help with rollout of new technologies and product installations

  • Participate in additional FSQA projects as assigned

Program Highlights:

  • Paid, full-time summer internship (40 hours/week)

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Food Science, Biology, or a related field

  • Must have at least one year of school remaining (Junior/Senior standing preferred)

  • Minimum GPA: 3.0

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical data analysis

  • Willingness to work in on-site production environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous laboratory, food safety, quality, or R&D experience

  • Experience with enterprise-wide food safety systems

  • Leadership or project management exposure
