Duties:
Pepsico Food Science Job
- Design and manage global product testing for flavours that require reformulation per regulations. Manage and coordinate the evaluation and approval of new foreign and domestic vendor flavor manufacturing sites to ensure brand validation for flavours throughout the world.
- Lead qualification process of High-Intensity Sweetener ingredients by managing a cross-functional team that develops product testing for PepsiCo beverage systems. Plan, execute and document results of design evaluation and analysis for new beverage ingredients to ensure products can be successfully implemented within the Global Beverage PepsiCo system.
- Pepsico Food Science Job Work with Quality Assurance and Sensory team to develop flavour testing for new sugar reduction ingredients. Manage projects that execute both foreign and domestic contracts with vendors and government entities.
- Manage flavour-related Technical Brand Stewardship projects that require maintenance of key PepsiCo brands both in the US and around the world.
Qualifications/Requirements
Job Requirements:
Pepsico Food Science Job
Master’s degree (the U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Food Science, Ecology, Chemistry, Biology or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Bachelor’s degree (the U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Food Science, Ecology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with beverage applications and flavor in either product development or flavour science. Must have one (1) year of experience with domestic and foreign beverage commercialization; Contract Management Software including Selectica; using “Product Vision” Product Development Software for food and beverage process manufacturers, and project management and negotiation. Travel (national and international) required up to 5% of the time.
