Qualifications/Requirements
B.S. or M.S. with minimum 5 years of experience as a certified Flavorist
- Outstanding teamwork, communication and leadership skills; highly motivated, results oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize the global/regional beverage innovation initiatives in order to meet business objectives
- Strong technical background with emphasis on Global reach. Understand implications of flavor design and incorporate quality principles in work processes and output to deliver development initiatives with a total system mindset

- Lead global and regional innovation projects to drive the development, application and commercialization of flavor system in support of Pepsi’s global beverage business growth; lead the flavor function in Technical brand stewardship; Share flavor knowledge and technical skills in the flavorist training program and develop talent to ensure long term success.
- Drive flavor innovation and differentiation in global and regional innovation projects, effectively partner with Product Development, Beverage Applications, regulatory and PepsiCo Manufacturing to drive the growth with consumer preferred beverage products.
- Deep knowledge in all aspects of flavors and flavor application for different beverage systems. Demonstrate strong technical skills, specifically in the creation and optimization of flavors.
- Deep understanding of the flavor regulatory and raw material landscape and challenges; lead flavor reformulation to deliver consistent profile to meet such challenges; work closely with Technical Brand Stewardship, regulatory, flavor QC and PepsiCo Manufacturing to deliver safe, legal, stable and consistent products in market place.
- Successfully transition from bench top prototypes to large scale commercialization in support of global and regional growth initiatives. Understand technical roadmaps, hurdles and key challenges. Final flavors are manufacturing-friendly and sustainable
- Identify, accelerate, execute fast to market approaches to meet project goals and deliver winning taste profiles to consumers while meeting cost targets.
- Interface and build strategic networks and effective working relationships with vendors;
- Provide technical expertise and support to other functional groups within the company such as Quality, Commercialization Engineers, Product Development, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sensory and Regulatory
