Process Engineer Jobs- Role:
The Process Engineer II (MSAT) will play a vital role in leading technology transfer and process improvement initiatives that support both clinical and commercial manufacturing of viral vector-based therapies. Based in Durham, NC, this position requires hands-on technical expertise in downstream processing, including clarification, chromatography, and sterile fill/finish operations. You will lead facility fit assessments, risk evaluations, documentation reviews, and process validations to ensure smooth scale-up and cGMP compliance.
Biological Science Jobs- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technology transfer and process improvement for viral vector manufacturing.
- Provide downstream process support including clarification, chromatography, and TFF.
- Perform facility fit assessments using risk-based approaches like FMEA.
- Author and execute tech transfer plans, validation protocols, and technical reports.
- Support documentation reviews and ensure compliance with cGMP standards.
- Guide process equipment onboarding and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with MSAT, Manufacturing, and QA teams to optimize operations.
Process Engineer Jobs- Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: BS/MS in Engineering, Biological Sciences, or related field.
- Experience: 0–3 years in pharmaceutical or biologics process development or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with bioprocess equipment and disposable technologies (chromatography skids, TFF, formulation).
- Understanding of cGMP compliance and documentation standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in monoclonal antibody production is a plus.
