Your Role:
In this Production Scientist Job role, you will manufacture a variety of dye-labeled oligonucleotides to meet product specifications for Genetic Identity STR, qPCR, and sequencing product lines. Your responsibilities will include utilizing a wide array of methods and instrumentation, performing assays to ensure product quality, and providing operational support for product improvement projects.
Core Duties as a Production Associate:
- Manufacture oligonucleotides and biochemical products to specification
- Perform quality assurance assays
- Follow quality requirements and good documentation practices
- Comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate inclusion and ensure a safe workspace
- Incorporate Promega’s Emotional & Social Intelligence principles in daily work
Education and Qualifications:
- A.D. or B.S. degree in a scientific discipline
- Familiarity with purification methods and documentation
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP systems, etc.
- Familiar with basic principles of documentation using either laboratory notebook or batch record.
Key Skills:
- As a Production Scientist, you should have experience with handling chemicals and assay methods
- Prior industry experience
- Familiarity with ISO 9000, cGMP, and ECR Production workload
- Experience with data analysis using computers
Physical Demands for Production Scientist:
- Work at a laboratory bench for extended periods
- Work with hazardous materials safely
- Use computers interactively for extended periods
- Use standard laboratory protective equipment
- Lift up to 50 lb. occasionally
