GenScript QA Internship: Job Description
The GenScript QA Internship involves responsibilities for reviewing product Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and other product release documents to ensure they meet customer requirements. The role also involves managing controlled Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to comply with ISO 9001 standards and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure timely testing and release of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing product CoA and any other product release document to ensure it meets customer requirements.
- Responsible for the management of controlled SOPs to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Manage incoming materials and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure timely testing and release of materials.
- Participate in material non-conformance investigations and follow up with procurement on supplier investigation outcomes.
- Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility for GenScript QA Internship
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent.
- Familiar with reading and interpreting SDS-PAGE, LC-MS, HPLC, and other protein detection reports.
- Detail-oriented.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good teamwork skills.
QA Internship – Key Learnings
By the end of this internship, candidates will:
- Develop a good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and the role of a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Gain hands-on experience in critical material management, document control, and product release processes.
- Enhance problem-solving skills by conducting non-conformance investigations using quality tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
