Job Summary:
The QC Scientist I will perform analytical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging components, and finished products using validated methods. You will contribute to GMP-compliant operations and support regulatory filings, ensuring data integrity and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct moderately complex chemical and physical testing in a lab setting
- Perform analytical procedures using HPLC, GC, LC/MS, dissolution, spectroscopy, and traditional quantitative methods
- Record, interpret, and report test results, recognizing out-of-specification (OOS) conditions
- Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
- Support the filing of regulatory documents and communicate across departments and clients
- Author SOPs and instructional documentation
- Clean and maintain lab areas and systems, including HPLC and dissolution systems
- Ensure all tasks comply with GMP, GLP, SOPs, and safety protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related physical science
- 2 years of relevant experience in analytical or microbiological testing of pharmaceutical samples
- Working knowledge of HPLC, GC, LC/MS, and dissolution instrumentation
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and regulatory guidelines
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with chromatographic data systems and common office software
- Ability to write SOPs, protocols, and reports
- Proficiency in analyzing variance and applying correlation techniques
