Job Title: Quality Control Microbiology Technician

Shift: Sun-Wed 7 am to 6 pm
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Quality Control Microbiology Technician II in our viral vector manufacturing facility located in Frederick, MD. You will work with the Quality Control team in supporting our efforts in cancer immunotherapy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and support review as needed
- Collect water samples to ensure all samples are collected per schedule and complete review in a timely manner
- Perform and review various microbiological assays
- Data entry, trend data, and prepare slides for management
- Assist in investigations regarding out of specifications (OOS) results
- Routine maintenance of lab equipment and lab spaces
- Support troubleshooting and remediation of non-routine issues
- Train new hires for QC micro routine operations as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs Degree OR AA Degree and 2+ yearsโ experience OR High School Degree and 3+ yearsโ experience in microbiological techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to pass vision exam for visual inspection
- Environmental Monitoring experience
- Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and quality control processes
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and other applications
