Job Description

The Quality Systems Specialist ensures that MSC’s products and processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role involves supporting the development, implementation, and improvement of quality systems in compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, and other regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, audits, and tests to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to recommend improvements.
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and implement CAPA.
  • Maintain and improve MSC’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
  • Provide training and guidance on quality standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Assist with supplier quality evaluations and audits.
  • Generate and maintain quality documentation, dashboards, and reports.
  • Develop standardized SOPs, policies, and training programs.
  • Ensure effective internal audits of the QMS.
  • Provide oversight of electronic QMS systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control.
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Pareto, etc.).
  • Familiarity with QMS software and document control systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or GMP.
  • Certifications: Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license (may be required).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • May require access to ITAR and CUI information.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $56,280 – $88,440 per year (depending on experience).
