Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and accountability for asset or portfolio development from LO to PoC.
- Define development strategy aligned with the Medicine Profile (MP) and collaborate with late-stage development, commercial, and medical teams.
- Make evidence-based go/no-go/accelerate decisions and identify inflection points.
- Engage the external scientific community to generate insights and advance understanding.
- Facilitate appropriate interaction between GSK and external stakeholders, adhering to policies and global scientific standards.
- Identify regulatory requirements for early-stage development, including first dosing and clinical pharmacology.
- Deliver innovative strategies anticipating changes in healthcare and competitive environments.
- Partner with Business Development to support diligence reviews, product positioning, and alliances.
- Model GSK values and leadership expectations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in oncology clinical development
- Experience of early-stage oncology and its connections with late-stage development
- Experience in the translation of pre-clinical data to develop an oncology clinical development program
- Experience managing and developing individuals and teams to perform to their best strengths
- Experience in preclinical medicine development needs, translational medicine, including experimental medicine design, and its appropriate application
- Experience of clinical development, which includes end-to-end familiarity and accountability for all aspects of the strategic planning through to PoC, which enables progression beyond PoC.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years’ experience leading oncology development programs
- Experience in Business Development/Due Diligence and commercial product launch activities
