About the job
The Research Assistant I works under direct supervision, supporting the research program related to Cellular Engineering in the Skarnes Lab. This position involves project planning, experimental design, data collection and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of publications. The role requires flexibility in working hours based on research demands.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Cell culture experience
- Molecular lab experience
- Conducting tests, experiments, and procedures following protocols
- Data collection, analysis, and quality control
- Maintaining instrumentation
- Other duties as assigned
Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Fundamental computer skills including Excel and Word
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work under time constraints and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of safety practices
