Position Summary:

The Research Assistant I will be part of an early-stage discovery research group at Calibr-Skaggs. This role involves conducting research for projects in drug discovery and protein engineering, specifically focusing on developing protein therapeutics for cancer and metabolic diseases. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively, analyze data, interpret results, and assist in designing experiments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot scientific experiments in biochemistry and molecular biology under supervision
  • Maintain written reports and present results to the research team
  • Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors to foster teamwork
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality in research and presentation

Desired Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have skills in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, and sterile techniques. Experience in protein expression platforms and purification techniques is advantageous. Proficiency in data analysis software and exceptional organizational skills are important.

Requirements for Research Assistant Job:
