Educational Requirements for the R&D Scientist Position:
- Bachelorโs degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- 1 year of academic, government, or industrial life sciences laboratory experience
- Experience developing immunodiagnostic assays (preferred)
- Experience in medical device/diagnostics industry (preferred)
Key Responsibilities of the R&D Scientist Position:
- Conduct, analyze, and document experiments for immunodiagnostic assay development
- Support new and existing diagnostic product lines
- Complete research projects involving technology development, product design, testing, and reporting
- Summarize and interpret complex test data
- Contribute to multiple product development projects
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and electronic records per QSR/ISO standards
- Perform work according to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Procedures
- Provide data analysis and reporting using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Maintain and manage laboratory equipment
Skills Required for the R&D Scientist Position:
- Understanding of immunology, infectious disease, endocrinology, gastroenterology, protein chemistry, ELISA assays, and lab automation
- Ability to execute immunodiagnostic product development experiments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driven to solve scientific problems
