Educational Requirements for the R&D Scientist Position:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline
  • 1 year of academic, government, or industrial life sciences laboratory experience
  • Experience developing immunodiagnostic assays (preferred)
  • Experience in medical device/diagnostics industry (preferred)

Key Responsibilities of the R&D Scientist Position:

  • Conduct, analyze, and document experiments for immunodiagnostic assay development
  • Support new and existing diagnostic product lines
  • Complete research projects involving technology development, product design, testing, and reporting
  • Summarize and interpret complex test data
  • Contribute to multiple product development projects
  • Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and electronic records per QSR/ISO standards
  • Perform work according to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Procedures
  • Provide data analysis and reporting using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Maintain and manage laboratory equipment

Skills Required for the R&D Scientist Position:

  • Understanding of immunology, infectious disease, endocrinology, gastroenterology, protein chemistry, ELISA assays, and lab automation
  • Ability to execute immunodiagnostic product development experiments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driven to solve scientific problems
