Research Technician Job Description
Research Technician role responsibilities include supporting the Schumacher Cancer Immunology Group in developing innovative technologies that improve our understanding of how the immune system recognizes and attacks cancer cells. The role involves working with advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques to contribute to discoveries in cancer immunotherapy.
As a Research Technician in the Cancer Immunology Group, you will be directly involved in the use and development of advanced high-throughput T-cell receptor (TCR) sequencing methods and cell-based screening assays to identify T-cell receptors that recognize specific cancer epitopes. The laboratory uses molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry, cell sorting, antigen recognition assays, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) to answer important questions in cancer immunology.
Qualifications
Research Technician Job applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- BSc/MSc in Biology or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with molecular biology workflows.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective English communication skills.
Preferred Skills
