Sartorius is seeking an Associate Scientist, located in our contract testing laboratories in Cambridge, MA. In the Associate Associate Scientist role, you will focus on the characterization of biosimilar molecules and new biological entities using a panel of off-the-shelf and custom binding and functional assays.
Job Title: Research Associate – Bioassay
What you will accomplish together with us as the Research Associate (Associate Scientist):
- Adhere to directions and protocols from the scientists/study managers
- Prepare client samples for analysis with exceptional attention to detail
- Perform laboratory-based testing using Cell-Based Potency Assays, ELISA, and qPCR while thoroughly completing all required documentation
- Perform routine maintenance of multiple cell lines
- Prepare general laboratory reagents including cell culture media, buffers, and cleaning solutions
- Maintain laboratory stocks of disposables and reagents as well as ensuring good housekeeping
- Prepare waste for disposal and carry out weekly lab cleanings
- Perform equipment calibration, cleaning and maintenance when required
- Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the department
- Ensure GxP compliance throughout testing and work with Quality department to address any issues
- Adhere to and promote all health and safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
What will convince us as the Research Associate (Associate Scientist):
- Associate/Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific discipline or relevant experience
- 0-3+ years laboratory experience, preferably in a regulatory environment
Practical experience in cell culture, Cell-Based- Potency (ADCC, CDC), ELISA, or qPCR desired - Good Aseptic technique must be demonstrated
Understanding of Biological Therapeutics in multiple forms is desirable
