Senior Research Associate Job – Role Overview
In this role, you will design and execute complex experiments focused on the characterization of T cells, supporting late-stage drug development and improving GMP manufacturing processes. You will work with a highly collaborative, cross-functional team of scientists, regulatory experts, and manufacturing specialists at the forefront of cell and gene therapy innovation.
Senior Research Associate Job – Key Responsibilities
- Independently design, execute, and analyze in-depth T cell assays, including flow cytometry, cytotoxicity, and cytokine release profiling.
- Perform data-driven investigations to support understanding of the manufacturing process and product quality.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to implement analytical strategies for gene-engineered cell therapies.
- Apply advanced analytical platforms, such as spectral flow cytometry (Cytek Aurora) and multiplex cytokine assays (Luminex, MSD).
- Support regulatory submissions by generating technical reports and SOPs in alignment with ICH/FDA/EMEA guidelines.
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a subject matter expert in T cell biology.
- Engage in continuous innovation to identify novel tools, workflows, and automation strategies for cell therapy analytics.
Senior Research Associate Job – Required Skills and Experience
- BS + 5 years OR MS + 2 years in Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in multi-color flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays, and cell proliferation analytics.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, JMP) and/or coding (R, Python).
- Experience with instrument troubleshooting, SOP writing, and collaborative research environments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
