Position Summary
Discovery Life Sciences seeks a skilled and enthusiastic Staff Scientist (m/f/d) to join our innovative clinical trial team based in Kassel, Germany. The ideal candidate will engage with customers, manage their requirements, and oversee various projects within our clinical trial laboratory. This role involves collaborating with pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and hospitals in an international environment where a proactive attitude and social responsibility are highly valued.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in natural sciences
- Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and histology preferred
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Excellent English language proficiency
- Strong organizational abilities, multitasking skills, and problem-solving capabilities
- Attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures
Key Responsibilities
General Laboratory Tasks
- Preparation and review of SOP/INS/FORMs
- Adherence to GCP guidelines
- Procurement of reagents, lab consumables, and devices
- Record maintenance of lab journals
Assistance Activities for the Head of Lab
- Evaluation and documentation of results
- Personnel and project timeline management
- Assistance in proposal and project plan preparation
- Scientific support for routine lab activities
- Maintenance of the Assay Validation Matrix
Process Management
- Method and procedure optimization with GCLP documentation
- Quality management implementation and adherence to clinical trial guidelines
- Budget monitoring and profit margin supervision
- Audit supervision and assistance, if needed
