Internship Overview

Schreiber Foods is looking for a Quality Assurance Intern (Summer 2026) to join our team in Richland Center, Wisconsin. This paid internship is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or related fields to gain real-world experience in food safety and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will:

  • Lead quality improvement projects within the team.
  • Create and update documentation for food safety and quality processes.
  • Gain knowledge about Schreiber products and apply them to improve processes and practices.
  • Input and analyze quality and lab data.
  • Assist with testing, HACCP, SQF, sanitation, auditing, training, and supplier management.
  • Support the quality team on food safety compliance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Plans, Quality Plans, and customer requirements.
  • Establish and audit CCPs, PCPs, and SOPs to meet regulatory and customer standards.
  • Participate in incident reviews and corrective action plans.

Qualifications โ€“ What Youโ€™ll Need to Succeed

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in:
    • Food Science
    • Dairy Science
    • Microbiology / Food Microbiology
    • Bacteriology or related field
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week during Summer 2026 (10โ€“12 weeks).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing/plant environment.
  • Reliable transportation.
