Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will have the opportunity to work the Summer 2026 with Schreiber Foods at our plant located in Carthage, Missouri. The internship will focus on supporting food safety and quality initiatives, company objectives, and plant-specific assignments, preparing successful interns for potential future careers within Schreiber Foods.

As a QA Intern, you’ll:

  • Lead small quality improvement projects with plant teams

  • Create and update documentation for food safety and lab processes

  • Learn about Schreiber Foods’ product portfolio and apply that knowledge to improve practices

  • Input and analyze data to support decision-making

  • Assist with projects on quality systems, sanitation, auditing, supplier management, and SQF standards

  • Ensure compliance with food safety plans, customer requirements, and regulatory standards

  • Review incidents and recommend corrective actions for process improvements

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Microbiology, or related fields

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10–12 weeks in Summer 2026

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team

  • Interest in working within a manufacturing and plant setting

  • Strong technical foundation in sciences; dairy knowledge is a plus
