Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for supporting day-to-day Quality Control activities, which may include but are not limited to GMP activities, Assay Development, or supporting client and/or internal company projects while following applicable SOPs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work on diverse client projects, using various test methods and data analysis.

  • Communicate and collaborate with colleagues across QC, Quality, and Manufacturing; may serve as client QC assay point-of-contact.

  • Support QC method development and GMP release testing (molecular biology, immunology, tissue culture).

  • Conduct routine and non-routine testing and ensure accuracy and validity of results.

  • Maintain QC inventory and oversee lab supply needs.

  • Assist in developing QC methodologies and procedures.

  • Perform QC assays under supervision, including:

    • Flow cytometry

    • Nucleic acid extraction

    • qPCR

    • ELISA

  • Execute test methods and procedures per SOPs and GMP/GDP/GTP compliance.

  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Assist with equipment qualifications and method validations.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support other functional areas as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in life sciences or related field.

  • 0โ€“2 years of relevant laboratory or cGMP/cGTP experience (clinical, microbiology, immunology, hematology, or QC).

  • Hands-on experience in flow cytometry (required).

  • Experience in biopharmaceutical Quality Control strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with laboratory supply management and cross-functional communication.

  • Experience with qPCR, ELISA, and cell-based assays preferred.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Skills

  • Proficiency in QC methods and use of QC laboratory equipment.

  • Technical proficiency in flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA, and cell-based assays.

Physical Demands for QC Analyst Jobs

  • Regular walking; use of hands; reaching; talking and hearing.

  • Required to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
