Educational Requirements for Clinical Research Coordinator Role:

Minimum:

    • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in biomedical or healthcare-related field OR

    • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in unrelated field with relevant research experience

Key Responsibilities for Clinical Research Coordinator Role:

  • Act as a liaison between Principal Investigator (PI), IRB, hospital departments, and study participants
  • Provide study information to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory personnel
  • Arrange in-service trainings as needed
  • Manage implementation, data handling, and follow-up of clinical trials
  • Ensure participant safety, confidentiality, protocol compliance, and regulatory adherence
  • Maintain accurate data and support study documentation as required by sponsors and protocols

Skills Required for Clinical Research Coordinator Role:

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations (preferred)
  • Understanding of human subjects research regulations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of IRB processes (preferred)
  • Familiarity with biomedical research protocols and scientific/medical terminology (preferred)
