Our Applied R&D Meat and Prepared food (M&PF) department at Novonesis is looking for a committed and skilled scientist with a passion for food, fermentation, and microbiology. We are seeking someone with a strong personal drive, curiosity, and collaboration skills in a changing environment.
Qualification & Skills for Application Scientist:
- Hold a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Microbiology or food science, or related scientific discipline.
- Have a solid understanding of food microbiology & meat processes, and experience in microbial analyses including challenge tests.
- Be good at data compilation and interpretation.
- Be curious, self-driven, and a strong team player as Application Scientist.
- Have strong experimental skills and the ability to apply scientific findings to solve practical problems.
- Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills (ability to communicate in German is a plus) and be comfortable engaging with customers.
Main Tasks:
- Driving Technical sales projects from a scientific and technical perspective.
- Interacting with the lab team to secure proper execution of application trials and other lab analyses as Application Scientist.
- Providing technical support to customers and analyzing customer needs to develop partnerships for new business opportunities.
- Actively participating in New Product Development (NPD) Projects in collaboration with R&D teams.
