Position Overview:

The Laboratory Technician I plays a vital role in supporting and conducting procedures concerning aspects of biological testing on manufacturing products and the manufacturing environment.

What you will do:

  • Log and process test samples into lab operations, ensuring accuracy and sample integrity.
  • Prepare and stage samples for testing according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform test methods, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment to meet regulatory and operational compliance requirements.
  • Validate and maintain laboratory testing methods to optimize accuracy and reliability.
  • Write, review, and update local procedures as required.
  • Investigate the excursion and initiate non-conformance as needed.
  • Generate and review lab reports for compliance. Generate, review, and archive laboratory reports to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Manage inventory by placing orders for new equipment, process agents, and laboratory services.

Skills for Success:

  • 2-year degree in Biological Science or equivalent.
  • Microbiology or Chemistry academic lab experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Database, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
