Position Overview:
The Laboratory Technician I plays a vital role in supporting and conducting procedures concerning aspects of biological testing on manufacturing products and the manufacturing environment.
What you will do:
- Log and process test samples into lab operations, ensuring accuracy and sample integrity.
- Prepare and stage samples for testing according to standard operating procedures.
- Perform test methods, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment to meet regulatory and operational compliance requirements.
- Validate and maintain laboratory testing methods to optimize accuracy and reliability.
- Write, review, and update local procedures as required.
- Investigate the excursion and initiate non-conformance as needed.
- Generate and review lab reports for compliance. Generate, review, and archive laboratory reports to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Manage inventory by placing orders for new equipment, process agents, and laboratory services.
Skills for Success:
- 2-year degree in Biological Science or equivalent.
- Microbiology or Chemistry academic lab experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Database, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills.
