Summary of the group

The Bioassay, Biosafety and Impurities Group at AstraZeneca focuses on developing advanced biological assays to progress pipeline products from research to commercialization. The group supports biosafety characterization of various assets, including cell and gene therapy, monoclonal antibodies, oncolytic viruses, and viral vaccines.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform virus detection assays
  • Perform test methods for the detection of adventitious agents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Generate and manage biosafety testing-related documents

Education & Experience Requirements

BS/MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Virology, Immunology, or relevant field with industry experience. Hands-on experience with molecular techniques and bioassay development are essential.

Required Skills

Salary Information

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,766.40 – $100,149.60, with additional benefits and incentives offered based on individual factors.
