Position Summary:
Illumina is seeking a Scientist 1 to join our Molecular Sciences Group within the Research & Development Advanced Science function. In this role, you will contribute to developing new sequencing technologies and applications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance technology platforms and drive innovation.
Position Responsibilities:
- Execute planned experiments and analyze data
- Participate in projects to develop next-generation sequencing products
- Analyze large data sets and draw conclusions
- Contribute ideas for project advancement
- Work independently and engage in effective communication
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of related experience
- Preferred majors: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Microbiology, etc.
- Experience in nucleic acid biochemistry and DNA technologies
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation and methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:
- qPCR methods
- Recombinant Protein Expression
- RNA isolation and handling
- Statistical analysis
- Data analysis tools such as Excel & JMP
Base Salary Range: $61,700 – $92,500 in the United States of America
