Biological Science Job Opportunity- Role:
The Biorepository Coordinator III in the Tissue Core Department oversees day-to-day operations and contributes to SOP/GLP maintenance, biospecimen management, and complex project coordination. This role requires autonomy in performing laboratory and administrative duties and serving as a liaison to other departments and external collaborators.
Biological Science Job Opportunity- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and assemble SOPs/GLPs and support advanced protocols.
- Perform biospecimen shipments and data entry.
- Coordinate complex projects and training for Biorepository Coordinator I & II staff.
- Use sterile techniques and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
- Maintain inventory, conduct audits, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Serve as an ambassador to departments and external collaborators.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Biological Science or related field with 3+ years of lab experience (2 years in core facility), OR Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in a core facility.
- Completion of coursework in Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Cell Biology, Genetics/Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences IT, Clinical Research preferred.
- IATA certification obtainable within the first year of hire.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.
