Job Description:
The Quality Control Research Associate will perform routine QC testing to determine lot status and product release for ProteinSimple capillary electrophoresis-based systems, including iCE and SimpleWestern. The role involves managing activities in the ProteinSimple liquid and lyophilized reagent QC process to ensure objectives are met and products perform as expected. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with biological assays, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams, including Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Product Support, Assay Development, and Quality Assurance.
Pay Range: $40,300 โ $66,250
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct QC assays for reagents and consumables.
- Maintain accurate and detailed QC assay records, including lot numbers and observations.ย QC
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized laboratory workspace.
- Manage inventory of reagents and consumables required for QC testing.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Follow lab protocols, chemical handling, safety procedures, and departmental SOPs.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established guidelines.
- Comply with company safety, quality, and training standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering with laboratory experience.
- OR an Associateโs degree or non-scientific Bachelorโs degree with 2+ years of relevant QC or GMP industry experience.
- Strong pipetting and record-keeping accuracy.
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and flexibility for multitasking.
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support colleagues.
- Basic understanding of statistical principles.
