Job Description

The Haubner Lab at CICET seeks a highly motivated Technician A to support pioneering research in next-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies for myeloid malignancies, particularly acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The position offers professional growth through training in CAR vector design, molecular assays, and in vitro and in vivo functional CAR T cell studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in vitro cell culture, including sterile isolation and culture of primary immune cells, cell lines, and retroviral vector production.
  • Perform basic molecular biology protocols.
  • Assist in mouse procedures such as tail vein injections, tissue collections, and bioluminescence imaging.
  • Maintain general laboratory operations, including inventory management and equipment upkeep.
  • Carry out additional lab duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Two years of college or completion of an A.A. program emphasizing chemistry, biology, or physics, or a completed animal husbandry program.
  • One year of related experience or equivalent education/training.

Preferred:

  • Experience with primary cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
  • Strong aptitude for learning, meticulous experimental approach, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Other Requirements:

  • Pre-employment drug screening.
  • Participation in medical surveillance programs.
  • Willingness to work with laboratory animals and patient samples.
