Job Description:
The Research Scientist/Sample Management role involves managing lab inventories, organizing and tracking samples, performing manual manipulations of lab vessels, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The scientist will support project teams by maintaining sample logistics, learning new technologies, and providing effective communication on project status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize physical samples and lab consumables inventories.
- Handle and manipulate vessels, plates, cap mats, seals, and latch racks.
- Maintain accurate records and perform data entry.
- Learn and apply new laboratory technologies and software.
- Communicate project status effectively to team members.
- Perform duties in compliance with safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or equivalent laboratory experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in sample management, compound management, or laboratory logistics preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory technologies and liquid handling automation is desirable.
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in teams within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
