Job Description
The Process Engineer will join the Concord Site Engineering team, taking responsibility for the safe design, operation, and optimization of critical equipment supporting Lillyโs pharmaceutical supply chain. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership in problem-solving, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe design and operation of equipment within assigned areas.
- Provide engineering expertise as a member of the process team.
- Gain technical mastery of equipment, processes, and flow documentation.
- Monitor and trend control systems to verify and optimize performance.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analyses to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Support and oversee maintenance and engineering technicians.
- Manage system classification, maintenance strategies, and CAPA-related actions.
- Lead or participate in commissioning, IQ/OQ/PQ activities for new equipment.
- Develop scope for capital projects and act as user representative or delivery agent.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for equipment improvement.
- Benchmark equipment performance against other operations to drive optimization.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, Life Science, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, JMP, etc.).
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and meeting HSE goals.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Knowledge of validated systems and statistical problem-solving methods.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $64,500 โ $167,200 (based on education, experience, and location).
