Job Description
As a Quality Control Associate Scientist, you will ensure timely, accurate testing of kits, reagents, and raw materials that support the Immunoassay Platform Solutions group. Your focus will include ELISA, Multiplex, RIA, and other immunoassay technologies.
Key Responsibilities for BS Life Science Jobs at Merck
- Independently perform complex assays and lab operations
- Maintain accurate documentation per SOPs and quality standards
- Report testing status, deviations, or issues to supervisors
- Support lab operations, including reagent prep, inventory, and maintenance
- Participate in cross-functional collaborations and quality audits
Physical Requirements:
- Wear PPE and safely handle lab materials
- Push, pull, and lift to 25 lbs
Qualifications for BS Life Science Jobs at Merck
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related life science
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in life science manufacturing or immunoassay testing
- Familiarity with ISO standards and GMP guidelines
- Experience with ELISA, RIA, SMC, and Milliplex platforms
- Report/SOP writing skills and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is a plus
