Job Description:
As a Quality Lab Associate I – Bioburden, you will perform essential microbiological testing to ensure the safety and quality of Baxter’s pharmaceutical and medical device products. Your work will directly impact patient health by upholding the highest industry standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials, solutions, and components following SOPs.
- Test for bioburden (total plate count and spore).
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, laminar flow hoods, and incubators.
- Clean, prep, and sterilize lab equipment and supplies.
- Log samples and enter results into LIMS databases.
- Maintain general housekeeping and apply 6S principles to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry preferred.
- Knowledge of microbiological testing methodologies, FDA regulations, cGMP, GLPs, and USP standards.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with LIMS or equivalent systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively and mentor junior team members.
