Position Summary
The Quality Technician will ensure consistent quality of production by enforcing quality and manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all products are produced per Milo’s quality standards.
- Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.
- Monitor compliance with and administer GMP or SQF requirements.
- Ensure Food Safety and Food Quality compliance as directed.
- Maintain all laboratory and testing equipment and perform calibrations per schedule.
- Assist with the receipt of raw ingredients and samples, test, and/or review.
- Monitor FIFO and communicate concerns to the QA Manager.
- Perform testing and document weights, volumes, colors, brix, codes, packaging integrity, and other routine testing as required.
- Perform environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria according to schedules.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the QA Manager.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Collect and prepare samples for shipment as needed.
- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming, including recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

Qualifications

BSc in Food Science, Biology, or an Associate degree with 3+ years’ QA experience.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with food safety standards, lab testing protocols, and environmental monitoring.
