Job Description: We seek a Cell Culture Associate Scientist to join our team in San Diego. As a part of the team, you will support early drug discovery programs by utilizing Cell Culture and BioAssay techniques.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Maintain mammalian cell lines, including expanding cultures, harvesting cells, and cryopreservation
- Prepare and validate reagents, record and maintain run information accurately, and troubleshoot biology and/or process
- Maintain inventory and order reagents as needed
Qualifications:
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or similar discipline)
- 1-2 years of relevant academic or industrial experience
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions and protocols closely
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting, and a fast learner
- Proficient in tissue culture (aseptic technique), excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
