Job Overview

Labcorp is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Team Lead to support the Microbiology department in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Clinical Research Jobs Responsibilities
- Assist the supervisor with the daily operations of the Microbiology department
- Prepare and send daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
- Train new hires and support skill development for current staff
- Keep the supervisor informed about workflow, employee performance, and operational issues
- Determine specimen acceptability based on established criteria
- Perform routine and complex testing according to SOPs
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate, timely test results to support high-quality patient care
- Perform and document quality control and preventive maintenance
- Maintain and replenish bench supplies
- Assist with specimen processing when required
- Maintain a safe workplace and use appropriate PPE
Education Requirements
- Associate degree in Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology (Must meet CLIA & state requirements)
- Bachelorโs degree preferred
Experience
- 2โ4 years as a Technologist/Technician required
- 2โ4 years of reporting Microbiology cultures preferred
- Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
Certifications: ASCP and/or AMT certification preferred
Skills Required for Clinical Research Jobs
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations and procedures
- Proficiency with LIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
- Physical ability to meet role requirements
