Position: Clinical Scientist

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

As a Clinical Scientist, you will support study preparation, clinical sampling, test article administration, and documentation in animal-based research studies. Working in a BSL-2 vivarium, you’ll assist with both lab and animal-handling tasks, contributing to meaningful research that impacts public and animal health.

• Assist with preparation of study protocols, amendments, data forms, and reports

• Maintain study files per SOPs and regulatory standards

• Support clinical sampling, test material administration, and live animal handling

• Participate in data entry, review, and verification using electronic systems

• Work with avian embryos, poultry, and livestock under controlled lab and vivarium conditions

• Perform necropsies and animal observations

• Lift materials occasionally (up to 40 lbs)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, or a related discipline

• Or equivalent experience (2 years of industry experience = 1 year of college)

• Experience with animal handling and clinical observations

• Ability to perform necropsies and work with live animals

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
