This full-time role involves supporting HMO product analytics and DSP optimization, conducting laboratory experiments, isolating new products, and contributing to downstream process improvements. The candidate will also maintain precise laboratory records, ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations, troubleshoot experimental challenges, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participate in process development initiatives, and help implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, product yield, and overall research outcomes.

About the Role

Novonesis is seeking a skilled DSP Laboratory Technician to join its HMO Product Analytics and DSP Optimization department in Rheinbreitbach. The role connects the development of new analytical methods, isolation of new products, and optimization of downstream processes. The candidate will also conduct hands-on laboratory experiments, maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, troubleshoot technical challenges, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and innovation within the organization.

DSP Laboratory Technician Job- Key Responsibilities

  • Support isolation of new products and by-products.
  • Execute DSP processes on pilot and laboratory scales.
  • Perform and evaluate analyses, including color measurement, viscosity, and protein content.
  • Prepare samples and commission analyses.
  • Document results accurately and maintain laboratory order.
  • Manage chemicals and ensure safety compliance.

DSP Laboratory Technician Job- Qualifications

  • Completed qualification as a DSP laboratory technician or biological technical assistant, or a B.Sc. in biotechnology, chemistry, biology, bioscience, or bioprocess engineering.
  • Ideally, experience with DSP processes and chromatographic purification.
  • Enthusiasm for science with curiosity and precision.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently in the laboratory.
  • Good communication skills in German and English.
