Purpose of the Job:
The diagnostics laboratory at Eli Lilly and Company supports pre-screening, clinical trial, and assay development activities to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. The Research Scientist will be crucial in developing biomarker assays to support drug development efforts in neuroscience, immunology, and cardiometabolic health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Literature Review: Stay updated on scientific advancements by conducting thorough literature reviews.
- Experimental Design and Execution: Design and perform laboratory experiments to test hypotheses.
- Data Analysis: Analyze experiment and assay data using statistical tests.
- Technical Writing: Prepare detailed scientific protocols and contribute to reports and manuscripts.
- Assay Development: Develop and optimize assays for various applications.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or related field with at least 3 years of laboratory experience OR
- Master’s degree in life science or related field with at least 1 year of laboratory experience
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Understanding of statistical tests and CAP or CLSI guidelines
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or R
- Experience with project management tools
- Knowledge of immunoassays and molecular techniques

Compensation Range: $76,500 – $162,800
