What You Will Do

  • Operate a pilot dryer and gain knowledge in spray drying, blending, and other processing methodologies.

  • Lead or assist new product projects: design experiments, analyze data, and create Product Information Bulletins (PIBs).

  • Research market trends and ingredient technologies; support innovation and application development.

  • Learn foodservice and culinary applications in partnership with development chefs.

  • Support scale-ups: either at manufacturing or customer facilities

  • Participate in trade shows, customer visits (virtual or in person)

  • Use enterprise systems (Power BI, Salesforce, PCM, Genesis, TraceGains, SharePoint) to analyze data, generate metrics, and produce reports

  • Be part of audits, quality investigations, and regulatory compliance efforts

  • Send and manage samples, maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods

  • Join cross-functional meetings: S&OP, procurement, vendor interfacing

  • Complete required training: OSHA, environmental safety, ECO lab, IDFA, etc.

  • Troubleshoot quality issues alongside food quality leads

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field

  • Internship experience preferred

  • 0 to 2 years work experience (manufacturing, dairy, or related industry is a plus)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an eagerness to learn new company systems

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, think creatively, and lead self-driven tasks

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to navigate change
