Job Description
The Food Science Job for an Associate Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Specialist role, Suitable for Science Graduates, will support associate regulatory role compliance assessments, product labeling, and internal stakeholder engagement within the Nestlé portfolio. The role is essential for ensuring compliance with FDA/USDA standards, maintaining product communication accuracy, and enabling timely product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to low-complexity innovation and renovation projects (e.g., ingredient replacement, pack size updates).
- Ensure product labels meet government requirements (ingredients, allergens, nutrition facts, claims).
- Manage compliance tools and maintain key regulatory documents (E-labels, PDCASS, Claims Substantiation, etc.).
- Support USDA product submissions and generic approvals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, nutrition, and product development.
- Review and approve materials for ingredient onboarding.
- Contribute to regulatory process improvements and compliance initiatives.
Food Science Job – Educational Qualifications
BS/MS Food Science, Nutrition, or related field
Experience and Skills
- 1–2+ years in regulatory affairs, food labeling, compliance, nutrition, or product development.
- Strong knowledge of FDA/USDA labeling regulations.
- Detail-oriented with strong decision-making and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
