Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science discipline (Biology, Microbiology, or related).
Experience:
0–3 years of experience in a cGMP laboratory or production environment.
Job Description
The Environmental Monitoring Technician supports microbiology and manufacturing activities at the NJ5 site. The role involves performing Environmental Monitoring (EM) as per established sampling schedules, detecting and identifying contaminants, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards throughout the radiopharmaceutical manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EM testing for active and passive monitoring of viable particulates and non-viable total particulates.
- Conduct environmental sampling of rooms and equipment as per EM schedules.
- Manage EM samples from incubation through isolate ID and documentation.
- Support EM investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform growth promotion testing for EM-related media.
- Assist with trending EM and OOS data analysis.
- Notify supervisors and quality managers of microbial contamination.
- Support product release by checking sterility, endotoxin, and particulate matter results.
- Maintain aseptic environment in microbiology and stability laboratories.
- Safely dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Collaborate with management to improve laboratory efficiency.
- Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with FDA, USP, and cGMP standards.
Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in Environmental Monitoring preferred.
- Understanding of USP, FDA, and cGMP regulations.
- Ability to write, review, and revise SOPs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
