Job Description

The Clinical Lab Technician – Scientific Support will perform essential laboratory and administrative tasks within the Raw Materials, BioAnalytics, and Microbiology units of the Analytical Operations department at the TRD CGT East Hanover site. This role is onsite only and requires a local candidate, as relocation is not provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in shift-based schedules covering daytime/evening and one or both weekend days.
  • Restock PPE and necessary materials in designated lab areas.
  • Receive QC samples from production units.
  • Assist in sample management for both cell and gene therapy modalities.
  • Manage shipment of samples to and from the site.
  • Maintain reagent and consumable inventory for assigned areas.
  • Prepare common reagents and buffers for testing.
  • Inspect and test raw materials, including bulk gas receipt and testing.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of lab logbooks, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure that laboratory areas are kept clean and in compliance.
  • Perform all testing in accordance with applicable SOPs and GMP/GLP guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Preferred AS/BA in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, virology, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related field.
  • 0–5 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, microbiology, sterile manufacturing, or medical devices (preferably in a QC lab).
  • Knowledge of GMP/GLP concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and communicate errors in analytical execution.
  • Commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $25.19 –$46.83/hr (subject to change based on market conditions).
  • Potential additional compensation includes a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards.
