Key Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:
- Perform microbiological, chemical, physical, and sensory product analyses
- Hold, release, and reject finished goods based on test results
- Conduct in-plant weight checks, temperature checks, and ingredient usage verification
- Check product appearance, code dates, pH levels, and metal detection systems
- Execute equipment calibration and preventative maintenance
- Complete daily finished product evaluations
- Perform environmental testing
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for all lab tests
- Ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe laboratory environment
Skills Required for the Lab Technician Role:
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Strong data recording accuracy
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, lifting
- Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
- Must pass drug screen and physical examination
- Minimum age: 18
