QA Summer Internship Details

  • Title: Food Safety & Quality Assurance Intern

  • Season: Summer 2026

  • Location: Turlock, California

  • Compensation: $19.00 โ€“ $23.00/hour

  • Eligibility: Juniors or Seniors pursuing Food Science, Biology, or Ag Science degrees

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Train in laboratory and production areas to understand plant operations for cheese and whey manufacturing.

  • Conduct chemical and microbiological testing of finished products and raw ingredients.

  • Perform physical and sensory evaluations (e.g., pizza melt tests, body, texture, and flavor analysis).

  • Assist with food safety programs including HACCP, sanitation, glass control, and environmental monitoring for pathogens.

  • Write and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Participate in production-related projects to enhance plant operations.
