Responsibilities
- Perform waived, moderate, or highly complex tests in microbiology
- Adhere to laboratory procedures and quality control policies
- Identify and resolve testing problems
- Perform a wide variety of microbiology procedures
- Review and release patient results
- Maintain equipment and instruments
- Develop and maintain department policies and procedures
Qualifications
- ASCP certification or equivalent required
- Minimum five years of microbiology experience
- Previous supervisory/management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
