Job Description
BioMérieux is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QC Analyst to join its team in Lombard, Illinois. This Life Science Job involves testing product lots, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring product quality and compliance with safety standards. The QC Analyst plays a key role in quality performance testing and environmental monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Test product lots as scheduled in compliance with procedures and specifications.
- Perform environmental monitoring, subculturing, and organism identification.
- Initiate Quality Event (QE) reports for Finished Goods testing and Environmental Monitoring.
- Conduct QC OOS (Out of Specification) investigations and assist in root cause analysis.
- Support continuous improvement in QC operations and manage QC supply replenishment.
- Update SOPs when required.
- Contribute to special QC projects as needed.
- Promote a safe workplace by adhering to PPE standards and safety procedures.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field
Experience and Skills
- 0–3 years of experience in quality control
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of GMP compliance.
- Flexibility to adapt to unexpected demands.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make decisions within defined guidelines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated wage range: $24.00 – $36.30 per hour (based on experience).
